Analogue Art

There was a time when I truly wanted to be a painter, an artist. That desire has never left me, although over the years I have done little to make it a reality. There was always something in the way – work, life, laziness, or simply a perceived lack of talent. Confidence, too, was sadly lacking. Much of what I have done by way of art in one form or another has been lost among life’s detritus – more jetsam than flotsam.

Still Life
If it was good enough for Vincent van Gogh and Paul Cézanne then it's good enough for me.

Portraits
A precious few images of family and friends, and a few from the St Helens art class.

'Lanskips'
Landscape paintings in the great outdoors though not entirely original and one fanciful eclipse.

Self Portraits
A life time of looking in the mirror watching myself getting older. No vanity, just introspection.

Life Class
"The nude in the history of art" (Python/Palin - some will know). The life class and the artist are inseparable.

Random Collection
A place for the stuff that couldn't be otherwise categorised: photo art, collage, etc.
