I often like to take myself off to London when there’s an exhibition or major event of interest to me. There is usually something going on but I have to choose with care; the experience of mingling with the hordes of international bucket-listers can be daunting. This collection of images from the magnificent Stanley Kubrick exhibition is from July 2019 at the Design Museum in Kensington. The tourist movie is the result of my walk from the exhibition to Euston Station via the Van Gogh exhibition at Tate Britain. I hadn’t intended to walk but half the underground network was closed down. I never found out why.
Although all of Stanley Kubrick’s films were featured in the exhibition these shots are from The Shining, Eyes Wide Shut, A Clockwork Orange, Full Metal Jacket, and the best film of all time: 2001 a Space Odyssey (not just a personal opinion, more a statement of fact).
